1.75" dia. No maker. Shows Maris in Yankees cap holding a baseball bat but unlike the previous three buttons, name at bottom is on the bkg., not in a white strip. Bkg. is peach variety. Roger Maris began his Major League baseball career in 1957 with the Cleveland Indians for two seasons followed by a two year stint with the Kansas City Athletics before coming to the New York Yankees in 1960. For the next three seasons, Maris would be one of the most dominant hitters in baseball, including his incredible 1961 season breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record of 60, which had stood since 1927. Roger would finish his career in the National League with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1968, bringing his career totals to .260 with 275 home runs and 850 RBI's. Glossy, Exc.
