7X9" stationery w/horizontal center fold & two lighter horizontal ripple lines, small handling creases and a .25" dark spot on reverse not showing on front which displays cleanly. Dated "15 August, 1919." Wilson thanks "Messrs. Williams & Norgate/Covent Garden, London" for sending to him via "the American Ambassador at London, a special edition of your recent publication on The Art of M. Mestrovic". Signed in black fountain pen ink "Woodrow Wilson" at conclusion. Wilson soon embarked on an 8,000 mile US tour promoting membership in the League of Nations. On the tour he collapsed from exhaustion in Pueblo, CO, just managing to return to Washington where he suffered a near-fatal stroke on Oct. 2. VF. Comes w/Hake's COA & JSA LOA
