Item Description
1.75", no maker. Action photo set within a baseball design. The 1924 Washington Senators won the American League pennant with a final record of 92-62 under future Hall of Fame manager Bucky Harris. Leading the offensive charge for the Senators that season was a pair of National Baseball Hall of Fame outfielders, Goose Goslin and Sam Rice, both hitting over .330 in 1924. Of course, leading the mound corps was all-time great hurler, Walter Johnson, who fashioned one of his greatest seasons with a record of 23-7 along with an ERA of 2.72 and 158 strikeouts. Washington would go on to dispose of the New York Giants in seven exciting games to take the 1924 World Series. Walter Johnson would go on to finish his Hall of Fame career with a final record of 417-279, a career ERA of 2.17 and 3,509 strikeouts along with a MLB record 110 career shutouts and ultimately gain election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
