Item Description
1.75" no maker with pin holding 3" ribbon and shorter loop holding 7" wooden bat with text "A Real Base Ball Fan/Japan Patent Pending". Wood end of bat pulls out revealing pleated paper on a wooden strip. When unfolded, paper pleats have large text "Giant Fan". The 1962 San Francisco Giants won the National League pennant in 1962 with a record of 103-62 under manager Alvin Dark. The Giants were led offensively by slugging Hall of Famers, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and Orlando Cepeda. The mound corps was led by future HOF starters, Gaylord Perry and Juan Marichal. The Giants would go on to lose the 1962 World Series to the New York Yankees in seven games. One small paper tear near top of first two pleats on the left.
