Item Description
8-3/8x11-1/8" sheet printed w/Time title and border features preliminary pencil original art for proposed 1970s cover by Jack Davis (1924-2016), known for his advertising art, magazine covers, film posters, record album art and numerous comic book stories. Davis was one of the founding cartoonists for Mad in 1952. Art features cartoon depiction of US President Gerald Ford handing up comically oversized Christmas stocking upon the mantle. Lower left has been inscribed/signed in blue ink by Davis, who added "Lots Of Luck John" inscription. Top/bottom margins shows some handling but art remains clean and Exc.
