Item Description
13" tall painted plaster statue. 1930s. "You Bring The Ducks" incised text on front of base. Back of base has incised copyright symbol. Statue depicts Wimpy eating a hamburger w/an armful of more hamburgers and a pocket in his coat filled w/the sandwiches. There were several different Wimpy carnival statues produced during the 1930s, but none were as nicely detailed as the variety offered here, and we have only offered a few of these carnival statues in our 54 years. Wimpy's raised hand and face as well as base have some scattered hairlines, but statue is structurally sound w/a few scattered small paint flakes and some scattered dust soiling. Fine/VF overall. Eric Renner Collection.
