Item Description
10-3/8x13" display plaque contains 8x10" photo showing Paul "Bear" Bryant (1913-1983), the legendary head coach of the University of Alabama football team. During his 25-year tenure as Alabama's head coach, he amassed six national championships (tied for the most in modern college football history) and 13 conference championships. Upon his retirement in 1982, he held the record for the most wins (323) as a head coach in collegiate football history. Bryant was elected to the College Football HOF in 1986. Photo has been boldly signed in black felt tip pen at bottom, Bryant adding "1/4/78" date and "To Cora, Best Wishes" inscription. Photo shows some handling wear w/corner creases and scuff line at center left. Fine overall. Photo has been encased within wall plaque w/custom text plate below and is ready for display. Photo can be easily removed from plaque if so desired. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
