Item Description
Rare die-cut cardboard display measures 15" tall, 18" wide and 18" deep and has separate 12x18" die-cut hanger w/Spider-Man image and images of Slurpee cups featuring The Incredible Hulk and the Fantastic Four's Thing. Display promotes series of plastic tumblers issued by 7-Eleven convenience stores in 1975. Four sets of these plastic cups were produced (three for Marvel Comics characters and one set for DC Comics characters). Comes w/20 first series cups that fill the display. Each features different Marvel character and these include - Incredible Hulk, Thing, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Angel, Kull, Killraven, Black Bolt, Nighthawk, Spider-Man, Mister Fantastic, Quicksilver, Sub-Mariner, Night Rider, Dr. Doom, Doc Savage, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Iron Fist and even a cup devoted to Super-Stan, a spoof on Marvel Comics' beloved writer/editor Stan Lee. Backs of cups feature facial images of character alter-egos w/brief biography text. Hanger has 1" tip of straw in Hulk cup reattached w/surface paper lift on one side and hanger shows some scattered edge wear. Fine. Rest of display shows some lt. scattered aging/wear and is VF overall. Cups have some scattered wear, most notable to Black Bolt's name and 1" rim edge split to Mister Fantastic cup, both of which are Fine. Rest are VF to Exc.
