Item Description
Original 23.25x37" thin coated stock first print poster for Oct. 25-29, 1969 concerts featuring The Who that took place at Fillmore East in New York , NY. Concerts featured The Who "Performing Their Entire Rock-Opera 'Tommy'." Art by David Byrd features Union Jack design w/Britannia-like woman at center. Bottom center has been signed by the artist, who added "70" date. Signature is a bit lt. but still totally legible. Featured in The Art Of Rock as plate 2.94. Poster shows scattered light handling wear w/hairlines that break color along left. Poster has been matted and mounted to foamcore and now displays Exc. Ready for framing.
