Item Description
Offered here is original art lot and assorted papers for similar premium Safety Scissors premiums that were proposed for General Mills and Post. 8.5x11" sheet of black paper (w/pegholes along left) has attached 6-5/8x9.5" sheet (w/paper backing) at center w/mixed media original art depicting Sonny the Cuckoo Bird Safety Scissors premium w/hand-lettered "You Can Be A Cuckoo Bird Cut-Up - Safety Scissors - Free Inside This Package." 1970. Sonny's hand-lettered dialog reads "Cuts Paper And Light Cardboard Too... Cut Out Pictures, Articles and Cuckoo Shapes." Top margin has two spots of glue staining as applied, but still VF/Exc. overall. Comes w/Creative Dummy Specifications sheet dated "5/4/70." Top sheet is filled out in pencil and has hand-done pencil original art outline at center. Lot also includes two printed sheets featuring Flintstones Safety Scissors; one of which has been partially hand-colored. Other sheets include cover sheet and typed sheet detailing use and Flintstones association. Unique lot. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
