Item Description
7-3/8x23" thin artboard w/India ink original art for Jan. 18, 1952 daily strip by Dick Tracy creator Chester Gould. Art features four panels, showing Sam Catchem leading group of men into room w/two-way mirror to identify Spinner ReCord, who appears in three panels. Dick Tracy appears in last panel w/ReCord as they listen to record player. Gould has signed third panel. Top margin has "Dick Tracy - Fingered" title written in pencil. First panel bears date and has Chicago Tribune copyright strip. Upper left corner has inked date. Pin holes at top corners and staple hole at lower left. Margins have scattered soiling and artboard is Fine overall. Art is only affected by this slightly in third panel and could be matted for nice display.
