Item Description
1" w/"The Irwin-Hodson Company Portland, Oregon" back paper. Produced 1913-1915 when Alice Paul & Lucy Burns broke from the NAWSA and formed the "Congressional Union" that eventually evolved into the National Women's Party (NWP) by 1916. Featuring the iconic suffrage Herald w/trumpet in hand and wearing a flowing white gown. Only trivial surface wear. NM. Few badges were produced by the Congressional Union/NWP and this is easily the most attractive of the cello buttons issued by this important group.
