Item Description
1.25" w/"National Equipment Co." back paper. Featuring a graphic of a herald trumpeter on a draped flag clutching a flag w/six stars. Slightly bumpy surface to touch and some minor oxidation on collet mentioned for extreme accuracy. Exc. The six stars at left of text and on flag indicate this button is c. 1911 the year California became the sixth state to allow equal suffrage for women. Alva Vanderbilt Belmont, the millionaire socialite known for donating large sums to British and American suffrage efforts, founded this group in 1909.
