Item Description
5.25x6.5x2" deep store display box w/die-cut display lid contains complete amount of 120 1¢ packs. Fleer Corp., ©1970 NPP. Predominantly features Superman and Batman on lid and sides, others shown on lid include Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Flash, Martian Manhunter and The Atom. Lid has been punched and has small crease at front center. This box originates from the Fleer archives and was pulled from the production line on the first day of issue, May 1, 1970, as noted in black ink on top of box. Box remains clean, bright and VF/Exc. The 120 unopened packs are .75x1x.25" deep w/waxed paper wrapper around single piece of gum along w/a tattoo sheet. Wrappers feature some of the aforementioned heroes as well as Wonder Woman (as do the tattoos themselves). Exact number of different tattoos in the series is unknown but it is an extensive set w/multiple designs for all characters (including Hawkman who is not shown on the box or wrappers). Packs are NM to Mint as issued. The box on its own is rare, a full box such as this is incredibly rare, w/our last full example selling for $6,139 in 2017. This example is further enhanced as it originated from the Fleer archives.
