Item Description
3.5" w/N.G. Slater on curl. After Meredith was shot by a sniper on the second day of solo "March Against Fear" in 1966 other civil rights activists arrived to continue the march in his name including Dr. King and SNCC's Stokely Carmichael. Meredith recovered from his wounds and was able to re-join the march leading the 15,000 demonstrators into Jackson, MS on June 26. Moderate wear in reflected light. Exc. Scarce.
