Item Description
Large and impressive 13" figural ceramic pitcher depicts Popeye w/toy sailboat under one arm and holding life preserver ring on his back (which doubles as pitcher handle). No makers mark but most likely of European origin. 1930s. Pitcher has opening on back corner of Popeye's collar for filling and liquid is dispensed from small opening in Popeye's pipe. Some minor paint touch-ups to tip of pipe, point of collar and elbow of Popeye's raised arm. Pitcher o/w remains glossy and VF. A stand-out item for any Popeye collection.
