Item Description
34.5" tall painted wood w/original metal tray/glass insert ashtray and separate wooden pipe that fits in hole in mouth. Great depiction of Popeye done in an unusual dimensional manner than typically found, w/rounded features and separate arms (w/painted anchor tattoos) that holds wooden tray w/hole for ashtray. Has painted metal pockets on both sides for holding cigarette packs. One side shows moderate aging and both metal pockets have some spots of oxidation. Scattered paint wear to base. Fine overall. We have seen a variety of styles of these Popeye smoking stands over the years, this being among the best.
