Item Description
6x9.25" hardcover w/216 pages. Written by George Lowther and published by Random House in 1942, this is the very first Superman prose book ever published w/original stories and unique art, including illustrations throughout by Joe Shuster, co-creator of Superman. These appear at the beginning/ending of chapters as well as six full-page illustrations and four choice full color plates. Dust jacket shows Superman bounding over Metropolis skyline. Dust jacket is unclipped and has some margin/corner tip wear w/more moderate wear at top/bottom of spine w/.5" and 5/8" tears at top. Fine overall. Inside front/back has 2.5" wide streak of heavy aging and cover has some minor corner tip wear. Cover is VF.
