Item Description
1.25x2.5x6.25" & 1.5x3.25x7.25" nicely illustrated cardboard box pair contains Jr. and Sr. Swim Goggles #S900 and #S905. Super-Swim, Inc. © National Comics Publications, Inc. c. mid-1950s. Part of an extensive line of Superman swimming gear produced at this time that included goggles, fins, snorkels and several other kits, see two previous and following lots. Goggles are lightly aged from storage, Jr. & Sr. Swim Goggles feature Superman symbol. Jr. set has wear spot from storage on symbol, both have pliable rubber and appear unused. Boxes have scattered lt. aging/wear, lt. soiling, small inner flaps detached on one end of both boxes and detached flags are included on larger box only, both remain structurally sound and display VF. Boxes mention missing 2-3/8x3.75" "Superman Safety Swim Club" membership cards. Scarce pair and first we've offered. David Barsalou Collection.
