Item Description
First is .75x3x8.25" textured paper-covered cardboard case with snap closure. Cover has embossed Superman name and image and is outlined/highlighted in silver. c. 1940s. Deep and rich maroon color. Remains bright and strong with only the lightest traces of wear to corners. Exc. Next is 3x7.5" cellophane pack containing ten "National - Superman" pencils by National Pencil Company.  ©1955 National Comics Publications, Inc. Pack was originally sold for 29¢. Each pencil is marked "Superman Mighty Powerful" in addition to company name. Back of pack has Superman logo. Text includes "Superman Pencils Contain The Super-Strong, Bonded Leads With The Magic Touch. Superman Pencils Make It Easy To Do A Super Writing Job." Cellophane wrapper has some scattered tiny splits but pencils remain sealed as packaged. VF overall. Yellow No.2 pencils have lt. aging, o/w pencils are Exc. Rare as sealed.
