Item Description
Although the Lenci company of Torino, Italy is known worldwide for their dolls, they also produced high quality ceramics for many years, including having a Disney license during the 1950s. This Bambi and Thumper pair are from that period. The painted and glazed figures are done in soft color tones w/matte finishes. Both are in classic poses from the film, 10" tall Bambi w/butterfly on his tail and 5-7/8" tall Thumper in a seated position w/front paws on his upturned feet. Thumper and Bambi both have Lenci script markings on underside and Bambi has Lenci paper label as well. Tiny flakes to tips of Bambi's ears but still displays Exc. Thumper has four chips edges of ears, largest measuring 1/8". Another 1/8" flake appears on his hand and tiny flake to tip of toe. Fine overall. First we've offered of either of these charming figurines in our 54 years.
