Item Description
16" tall overall stuffed high quality all felt doll. Made in Italy by famous doll maker Lenci. c. 1950s. Very detailed outfit includes hair done in her signature bun style and googly eyes behind wire frame glasses. She holds wooden broom and parchment type paper w/Italian "Nonna Papera" text that translates to Grandma Duck. Her top features plastic heart-shaped buttons and her high top "shoes" each have four buttons as well. Tail area has attached Lenci foil paper tag w/inked notation on back. 40% of tag is missing thin outer edge. Parchment has darkened w/age and has 1" split and has sliver off bottom corner. Text remains complete. Parchment is just Good. Doll has evenly aged and is VF overall. Wonderfully designed doll. Rare and first we've offered in our 54 years.
