Item Description
Large and impressive 27" tall plush and high quality felt doll depicts Donald Duck holding soccer ball. Unsure of exact maker but underside of foot has sewn label w/"Made In Italy - Hand Made" text. Certain design elements and materials used point to Lenci dolls of the 1960s. Its large size also suggests that it was used for store display. Donald has stuffed plush body w/felt jacket and separate hat, which is pinned to head. Donald holds stuffed felt soccer ball, which has been sewn to his hand and side (now a bit loose). Doll has felt hands, legs/feet and bill w/interior wire armature and separate felt eyes w/large plastic pupils. Doll has lt. even aging w/small spot of staining to one hand. Inner wire armature pokes through side of head, revealing tiny portion of wire. Feet show some scattered wear to felt, w/corner of toe showing obvious wear. Fine/VF overall. First Donald Duck doll of this size we've ever offered. Sure to become a stand-out piece for display in any Donald Duck or character doll collection.
