Item Description
15.5" tall stuffed high quality felt doll. Although unmarked, it is very likely that this doll was made by Lenci of Italy due to design elements and materials used. c. 1950s. Details include eyes done in four separate pieces of felt and felt nails. His tail and ears have wire armatures inside for posing. Pluto wears a hunting outfit that includes corduroy jacket accented in brown leather on cuffs and collar area and a felt/leather hat. To complement the hunting motif, Pluto wears a leather belt w/six "shotgun" shells of formed leather w/casings, one of these is missing shell rim but could be easily replaced. VF/Exc. Nicely designed doll. Rare and first we've offered in our 54 years.
