Item Description
5.25" tall tin litho bank. Unmarked, but made in Germany, 1920s. To operate, a lever on the top left side is depressed. This causes noted silent film comedian Harold Lloyd's eyes to roll as mouth opens and his tongue sticks out. Coin is then placed on tongue and upon releasing the lever, all parts automatically return to at rest positions as coin is deposited within bank. All features work. Coins are removed by means of locking sliding top coin trap (missing key). Both left/right sides as well as back and top of the column body have faded from deep red color to a dull orange. Front retains strong color. Front has a few scattered spots of paint wear w/1/8x.25" spot of bare metal showing at moving portion of jaw. Paint also has slight darkening but appearance remains Fine overall.
