23.75x34" w/Emeryville, CA address at lower right. This poster is perhaps the most widely recognized image produced by the Black Panthers. Minister Of Defense Huey Newton sits, eyes fixed directly into the center of the cameras lens, in a fan back wicker chair with rifle in his right hand and an African spear in his left. At lower left appears his famous quote "The Racist Dog Policemen Must Withdraw Immediately From Our Communities, Cease Their Wanton Murder And Brutality And Torture Of Black People, Or Face The Wrath Of The Armed People". Horizontal creases from being rolled and scattered light brown spotting in margins. Heavy edge and handling wear. VG. Scarce.
