Item Description
7/8" c. 1896 w/fixed vertical pin and tin covered back reading "Pettibone, Cincinnati." Designed as the back end of a shotgun shell this button is among the rarest, and possibly the first ever, Peters advertising buttons. Almost no wear even in reflected light. NM. A similar "Peters New Victor" design w/same tin back also produced by Pettibone Co. sold for $4,023 in our July 2018 auction.
