Item Description
This c. 1952 ring stands 1.25" tall and consists of a frame on the top that holds a revolving disk that produces a loud siren sound when blown into. Lower part of the ring is the band that fits around the finger but at the bottom of the band there is a large oval plate with the words "Executed In The Distinctive Show Typeface "Space Patrol Siren." Plate design includes two tiny star-shaped accents and lower edge has very tiny spire representing a futuristic buildling top. Vast majority of copper-colored luster is gone so these areas of the metal are quite dark but there are some scattered luster highlights remaining. The small segment joining the top and bottom parts has tiny word "Japan." The distinctive typeface of the words "Space Patrol" lead us to believe this was a show-authorized ring. We may have had another example long ago but extremely rare. Overall finish is just VG but ring works perfectly.
