Item Description
The risque (c. 1898-1900) woman of Whitehead & Hoag most frequently adorns buttons and pocket mirrors but our previous lot has her on a rare carnival badge and here she makes and even rarer appearance on an advertising match safe. This 2.25" tall cello wrapped safe also has side panel text "Boston Agents/Celebrated Elite Shoes". Tiny text below the donkey names W&H. Rare. NM. Alan Weinberg Collection.
