Item Description
2.75" wide by Coshocton Specialty Co. Mirror silvering has blackened around the perimeter but only to a depth of .25". The rare mirror reads "Souvenir August Schell Brewing Co./New Ulm, Minn./50th Anniversary Indian Massacre/1862-1912". The Dakota Indians did attack the town over two days with many casualties and much destruction but they did so following a massive government grab of their lands and default on the promised delivery of food and provisions which put them on the verge of starvation. Celluloid is NM. First seen. Alan Weinberg Collection. See Seattle brewing mirror with Socialist Labor logo #428.
