Item Description
10-7/8x16.5" artboard has pen and ink original art for pages 25 of Defenders Of The Earth # 4, published by Marvel July 1987. This was the last issue in the series. Mandrake The Magician appears in six of seven panels. Art is by Fred Fredericks (1929-2015), who drew the Mandrake The Magician comic strip for over 40 years, did The Phantom Sunday page for five years and inked many comic books. Margins have usual editorial note, bottom margin is signed in ink "Fred Frederick - Inks" in black ink. Top margin features inked "DOE - Defenders Of The Earth" title and issue number and margin has been trimmed, but art is unaffected and remains clean. Displays Exc.
