Item Description
1.75", no maker name and with more oxidation than typical on metal back and collet (still totally structurally sound) but there is no stain, even on the curl. With Hake's 25 miles from the home of Hamilton in Lancaster, PA one would think these should turn up. They do not. We know this is from 1911 because of one example in the Lon Ellis Collection from a jeweler with 1911 date. Centered on the front of the speeding steam locomotive is the famous Model 940 railroad man's pocket watch. Cello surface has slight denting but clean. VF. Rare. This is the button photographed for the book (pg. 12) Button Power by Carter/Hake. Comes with Hake's COA.
