Reverse reads at center "The Fall Of Sumter Will Be Avenged, The Rebellion Crushed And The Honor And Integrity Of The United States Shall Be Maintained 1861."Likely issued for the 1861 inauguration. Minor wear under magnification. Exc. Rich chocolate brown color and sharp details make this a splendid example. This design is the only Lincoln jugate medal from his first campaign.
