Item Description
19.5" tall high quality doll is entirely made of felt (w/exception of ribbon hat band) w/stuffed body and wire armature for posing. Lars produced Disney dolls from the 1950s into the 1970s. This is one of the earliest examples from the 1950s as earlier versions are mostly felt, w/later examples incorporating other materials. While licensed by Disney, these dolls were not sold in the US, resulting in their rarity. These Lars dolls are among the nicest Disney dolls ever produced. Illegible cloth tag on foot. Doll has lt. even aging w/some staining to hat but is o/w clean. Hat has one tiny insect hole while shoes and lower portions of pants have a few scattered small holes. These are not noticeable when viewed from front and doll still displays VF. Stands well. Rare and among the nicest vintage dolls produced for Goofy.
