Item Description
Lot of three nicely painted and glazed figural ceramics by Leeds China Co. c. 1951. Lot includes 6.5" and 8.5" tall planters, smaller featuring Alice standing beside heart-shaped planter and has gold luster accents while larger shows Alice beside ridged planter w/raised "Alice In Wonderland" spelled along bottom hem of Alice's dress. Underside of smaller planter has incised "Alice In Wonderland" name and Disney copyright. Larger planter has this copyright info incised on back of Alice's dress. 6.75" tall figural bank features similar raised "Alice In Wonderland" dress text as seen on larger planter. Coin slot on apron as made. Copyright info incised on back of Alice's dress. Large planter has some minor chipping to raised "Wonderland" text and is VF/Exc. Rare and first we've see of this variety in our 54 years. Smaller planter and bank (which has two tiny spots missing glaze as produced) are Exc.
