Item Description
1-3/8" Produced by the International Alliance of Women an organization founded by Carrie Chapman Catt in 1904. This brass badge is highly ornate w/faux rubies, emeralds and pearls accenting the die-cut floral pattern. At center is Lady Justice w/Latin text translating to "Suffrage" and "Justice." Moderate finish wear most notably at 5 and 8 o'clock. Fine. This is the first time we have encountered this central design in this ornate setting. A similar example, owned by Ms. Catt, resides in the Smithsonian Institution.
