Item Description
8x9-5/8". Clay appoints "James Young" as a "Justice Of The Peace" on this partially printed document dated Feb. 1, 1827. Signed in black dip pen ink "H. Clay" at lower right. Horizontal folds, short tears and minor losses along left edge and scattered age toning. Remnants of three wax seals on reverse and retains original Sec. of State American Eagle seal at lower left. VG. Bold signature displays beautifully. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
