Item Description
15x20" Millar Publishing artboard features pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) for one-page story originally published in DRAG Cartoons #5 in July 1964 by Pete Millar (1929-2003), illustrator, cartoonist and drag racer known for his work w/CARtoons and DRAG Cartoons magazines. Art features eight panels, showing a sad-looking Big Daddy Roth who contemplates his worth until young boy points out money, which prompts Big Daddy to turn last panel into advertisement/order form for his shirts, showing three different designs (designs are pasted stats). Artboard has page number in marker at lower left. Artboard has some moderate margin wear w/pin hole at top center. Art remains clean and Exc. overall and would make for nice framed display. From the Archives of Publisher Pete Millar.
