Item Description
Four approx. 15.75x22.25" artboards features pen and ink original art (w/screentone and blue pencil accents) for complete four-page story originally published in Big Daddy Roth #1 in Oct./Nov. 1964 by Pete Millar (1929-2003), illustrator, cartoonist and drag racer known for his work w/CARtoons and DRAG Cartoons magazines. Art is for Green Hornet spoof story Green Hudson and features Big Daddy Roth as the titular Green Hudson w/his valet/sidekick K-Toe (who wears Imperial Japan military uniform and spouts stereotypical dialogue. Great content includes the Green Hudson, a car designed like a hornet and last panel of story features Mickey and Minnie Mouse w/Rat Fink. First two artboards have "Roth Issue" inkstamp at lower left and each has inked issue/page numbers and "Roth" name at bottom margin. Bottom margins have varying degrees of moisture staining and handling wear. Artboards are Fine overall, but art remains clean and Exc. and would make for nice framed displays.
