Item Description
4x12x20.5" illustrated box. Lt. wear/aging. VF. c. 1958. IGY (International Geophysical Year) was an international scientific project that lasted from July 1, 1957 to December 31, 1958. Series 1000, set #4800 comes w/tin litho Quonset hut, instruction sheet and Toyland Adventures booklet. Instructions have some tape on back repairing punctures likely from tin litho tabs. Includes tin litho fence plus gate, small plastic arctic accessory pieces, eskimos, explorers, arctic animals, sleds w/dogs, rockets and launchers and clear igloos. Consignor purchased this set factory sealed, carefully removed staples to examine contents. All contents are as produced and undisturbed in original bags as produced by Marx and NM as issued. Marx Warehouse File Copy from the famous Scala/Bowers Acquisition and subsequent auctions. An uncommon Marx set in this condition.
