Item Description
1-9/16" oval. W&H but no backpaper. Depicts him at table with "WNAC" microphone before him. White text at upper left "Fred Hoey Day June 20, 1931." On lower right in his facsimile handwriting is inscription "Hello Everybody - This Is Fred Hoey Speaking." Fred James Hoey (1884 -1949) was an American radio sports announcer of Major League Baseball. Hoey called games for the Boston Braves during 1925-1938 and Boston Red Sox during 1927-1938.
