Item Description
Errol McCarthy is an artist/illustrator noted for his work on Peterson Publishing titles Hot Rod Cartoons, CARtoons and Cycletoons as well as for his later work on popular toylines like Hot Wheels and Masters of the Universe. Offered here is 17.25x25" artboard w/applied stat "frame" border and cut-out duotone illustration board w/pen and ink original art and cut-out stat for two-page "Dragsters Of The World" feature published in 1970s Peterson Publishing title (either Hot Rod Cartoons of CARtoons). Great cartoon image "The Swiss Dragster" which features stat portions for wheels and chassis while front of dragster featuring cuckoo clock design and main body of car designed like Swiss cottage are original art. Art/stat is attached to artboard w/aged white tape, which has some aging around it. Extensive text block stat at left. McCarthy has signed at lower right. Some wear to "frame" border and artboard. Art has some scattered aging from tape. Fine/VF overall. Errol McCarthy Collection.
