Item Description
1.75". No maker. Shown in Chicago White Sox uniform and button dates to his first stint with the team, 1951-57. Minoso began his professional baseball career in 1946 with the New York Cubans of the Negro League where he would spend his first three seasons before signing with the Cleveland Indians of the American League in 1949. Minnie would spend the entire decade of the 1950s playing for either the Indians or the Chicago White Sox during the summer while playing winter ball in Cuba, primarily for the Tigres of Marianao. Minoso would finish with a career MLB average of .298 along with 186 home runs and 1,023 RBI's and remains a prime candidate for future selection to the National Baseball Hall of Fame for both his MLB and Negro League accomplishments.
