Item Description
9.75x13.75". c. 1920 or earlier. Embossed framed edge with highly embossed product name "Mokaine." Image of heavy-set man holding straw hat and cane, hanky in left hand and caption at lower left "What Heat" as parrot looks on from perch. Lower left has text "Made In France" but all text is in English including "Try A Mokaine And Soda" at lower right. Top has diecut hole with small metal loop for hanging. Scattered light wear, some black outline color is gone from brand name at top. Evocative image of a Parisian sidewalk cafe in summer. Fine.
