Item Description
1.75". No maker. Spring pin hold ribbon and plastic boxing gloves. Known for his toughness, punching power and intimidating appearance, Liston became World Heavyweight Champion in 1962 by knocking out Floyd Patterson in the first round. Liston failed to live up to his fearsome reputation in an unsuccessful defense of the title against Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali). His mysterious early death in 1970 has only added to his legend. Liston was inducted into the international Boxing Hall of Fame in 1991. NM. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
