Item Description
Mostly felt 15"tall (to tip of hat) poseable doll w/wire armatures depciting the popular Italian puppet character in bandleader outfit. Illegible cloth tag attached to one foot; doll was most likely made in Italy as it is done in the quality and style of Lars and Lenci and those of other Italian companies of the period. Exquisitely made in all felt w/exception of yarn decoration on hat and gold embroidered hat band, sleeves and boot tops. Has poseable felt-covered wire armature tail and filament whiskers. Holds wooden baton in one hand. Missing one epaulet from shoulder of jacket, o/w clean and VF.
