Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 5.5 " long chrome-plated heavy cast metal. Made in Germany by Prameta as marked on underside, 1950s. Box features illustrations of enclosed car as well as other toy cars made by the company including Jaguar and Mercedes sedans. Box has text on underside touting cars complex functions in German, French and English. Box is missing end flap, opposite end flap has been reattached w/tape. Three inner flaps loose but included. Box is Good/VG. Toy car is exact scaled replica of Opel Kapitan 555 car of the period. Car has tinted paint on windows and white rubber tires. Comes w/folded instructions, guarantee slip and original figural policeman metal key as shown on box. Car works and many functions include - three speeds forward, reverse, while proceeding (as set with underside lever) in various automatic changing directions. As directions change, two red-colored indicators move in and out of front fenders. Car has slight haze to chrome plating on roof due to box storage, o/w Exc. One of the most interesting  and mechanically complex toys of the many German vehicles made in the 1950s.
