Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 10" long painted tin battery-operated car. Made in Western Germany by Distler as marked on underside w/company logo, 1950s. Box is clean and tight, has a few lt. scuffs and one corner crease. VF. Car design is that of Porsche convertible of the period and has plated accents, including headlights, wheel covers, bumper strips and windshield frame (which is complete w/plastic insert). Car has rubber tires, hard plastic seats and steering wheel w/tin litho dashboard, convertible cover and "Distler" front/back license plates. Underside of car has illustrated instructions on how to insert batteries. Car is designed to run through four gears using gear shift lever mounted in front seat. Car is untested as it takes a European style 4.5 volt battery and is missing small "Real Ignition Key" which needs to be inserted in dash for car to operate. Comes w/color copy of instructions. Car is Exc. overall.
