Item Description
3.5x5.5". Movie released in 1927. "Babe Comes Home." Ruth plays himself though named, oddly enough, Babe Dugan. Co-starred Anna Q. Nilsson. No known copies of the movie exist. All promotional material including posters and lobby cards are very rare. Illustrations show him at bat, sliding to base and talking with lady. One caption reading "Don't Miss Babe! He'll Win Your Heart As He Won The Heart Of The Entire U.S.A." Other text includes "Hurrah!!! He's In The Movies Now! Babe Ruth Here He Comes - The Battering Bambino! King Of Swat." Vertical crease on back by spine. Diagonal corner crease at lower right cover and back top cover. Two .25" tears at margins. .5" wide light tan stripe inside above actress's face. Still a great piece for display and rare. VG.
