Item Description
6x19" artboard has pen and ink original art for April 9, 1966 daily strip by longtime Popeye comic strip/comic book artist Bud Sagendorf (1915-1994). Art features four panels, featuring Popeye demanding Alice the Goon wear a wig, which clearly disagrees w/her. Last panel reveals the issue is that Alice wanted to be a blonde. Popeye appears in three panels, Alice appears in every panel. Sagendorf has signed and dated last panel. Second panel bears KFS copyright strip. Back has engraver's inkstamp and date stamp. Top margin is uneven as trimmed and bottom left margin has some aging. Art remains clean and Exc.
